Pastor Diane Burns was born in Camden, Alabama, but raised in Pensacola, Florida by a single mother and is the oldest of five children. Her father was not apart of her life. Growing up without a father had a major impact on her life. She cannot ever remember meeting him. Her family struggled financially and had to live in housing projects, depending on government assistance until she was eighteen. She accepted Christ in one of the housing projects as a teenagers. A Christian military couple introduced her to the plan of salvation illustrated in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The Bible also says when your mother and father forsake you, the Lord will pick you up. Jesus came to a housing project and saved a broken, confused, lonely and abandoned girl. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

"I lived in the housing projects but the housing projects never lived in me. I am a dreamer like Joseph. I believe that God showed me that we were coming out.”

Pastor Diane has a bachelor's degree in social work. She is the founder and editor of Woman to Woman Magazine and Diane Burns Ministries. During college she had a vision for a Christian magazine that would be a catalyst to impact women from all walks of life. Woman to Woman was birthed to be a source of encouragement, support, mentorship, connection and inspiration.
